What We Believe, Why We Build
The values that guide everything we cultivate
Starting with trust
Dear visitor,
I’m pleased to introduce the Ethical Codex of BeneMeat. It reflects our values and principles, and serves as the cornerstone of our company culture.
Ethical codes are often seen as formalities, box-ticking exercises, meant to polish a company’s image or quiet a vocal minority. That’s not the case here.
Our ethical codex is a voluntary formulation of our approach. I could now begin by explaining the deep logic behind the benefits of cultivated meat, from the perspective of applying the second law of thermodynamics to life on Earth. In the best-case scenario, this would confuse you entirely, or worse, bore you to tears. Instead, I’ll simply say that we’re doing something that makes sense to us. Something that’s good for people, animals, and nature alike. Something that expands the possibility for people and their pets to enjoy high-quality nutrition. We’re working to make cultivated meat easily accessible, and in the long term, we hope its benefits will be available to everyone.
Any change is often met with negative reactions, and is perceived as a threat to the status quo. At BeneMeat, we would like for our products, and the entire segment of cultivated meat, not to be viewed this way. Instead, we want it to be accepted as another option – an additional variant that broadens horizons without generating negative emotions.
This is why our Ethical Codex exists. We believe in the purpose of what we do. And, we truly believe that there are enough people in the world who will find our products just as meaningful as we do. We don’t want money from those with different preferences, nor do we want anyone to be forced into anything by the system, the regulations, or the financial interventions. We believe that the best things come to people through volunteerism, openness, and tolerance.
Thank you for your support and trust.
Sincerely,
Roman Kříž

The BeneMeat Ethical Codex
A biotechnology company, guided by human values
This Ethical Codex is a brief summary of our commitments to our customers, partners, and society as a whole. Our goal is to build trust through transparency and to focus on the continuous adherence to human values and the quality of our products.
People first
We measure success through the contribution we provide to people and their values. Our products and services aim to improve the lives of our customers and their pets, reducing the suffering of other animals. Financial gain serves merely as a means to measure this goal, providing feedback on whether we are doing things right.
Safety as a fundamental value
The safety of our products is a priority for us. Approval from regulatory authorities is a necessary condition, but it is not enough. We will always use all available means to remove the slightest doubts about the safety of our products.
Quality
We offer people and their pets only what we would eat ourselves, and what we would give to our own pets. We believe everyone deserves the best, which is why we approach each product and its preparation with the utmost care and responsibility.
Transparency
We strive for maximum transparency with consumers, ensuring that they know exactly what they are purchasing. What we can share, we share. We have no secrets. The only exceptions are the details of our know-how and trade secrets.
Education and awareness
We live in an age where food processing has reached a state where we often don’t know what we are actually eating, or what we are feeding our pets. We share our knowledge in order to help people make informed decisions for themselves.
Economic viability
We develop and deliver our products with an emphasis on economic viability, without relying on subsidies. We believe that our effort and innovation make us competitive in the market.
Biotechnology for humanity
Science should serve people. We apply scientific knowledge where it can be of the greatest benefit to humankind.
Collaboration for a better world
We believe in collaborating with those who strive for a better world for humans, animals, and nature alike. Our partnerships are based on shared values and goals.
Building on honest communication
Our communication is based on honesty and truth. We do not sell cleverly crafted illusions, but the quality and value of our products. Our goal is not to attract new investors, but to feed people and their pets without animal suffering.
Respecting individual choice
We do not want to dictate what anyone should eat, and we will never support artificial measures to influence people’s preferences. Our goal is simply to offer options for those who consciously seek them.
The BeneMeat Ethical Codex is the cornerstone of our approach to business. We believe that by adhering to it, we strengthen the trust and satisfaction of our customers and partners, contributing to a better world for all.
This codex is not a formality. It’s a foundation. If these values resonate with you, let’s explore what we can build together.
