Feline Food Dilemma: Balancing Nutrition and Sustainability in Pet Diets

I had a rather rude awakening recently at the vet’s office. When taking my cat for her annual jabs, I was told that we needed to talk about her ‘condition.’ This, of course, is the polite way of saying that my cat was, well, fat. Whilst embarrassing, this is not uncommon, as half of dogs and over a third of cats are reportedly overweight or obese. Nevertheless, I walked away with a sense of shame, and a prescription for a new, high-protein diet for the family moggy.

Bene Meat Technologies: Italy’s cultivated-meat ban ‘discriminatory’

PRAGUE — Bene Meat Technologies (BMT) recently penned an open letter to the European commission on cell-cultured meat bans in Italy.
